Unknown Aircraft Need help identifying

I saw this plane take off today at KUZA. I cannot make out the tail number in the photo. I do not recognize the aircraft type. I have searched Wikipedia for list of aircraft with canards and pusher props for images looking similar to this one but no luck. If i could isolate the aircraft type that might could help in distinguishing the tail number. I anyone has information please reply.

I think it may be a Rutan Cozy

I have done some more searching and I believe it is a Velocity brand aircraft. I am not sure about the model or registration number. When looking for it pay close attention to the window configuration to help eliminate possibilities.

The Cozy is not a Rutan design. It's a derivative of the Rutan Long EZ, but it was designed by Nat Puffer (according to Wikipedia).

I agree with Chris on the Cozy derivation (now Cozy Mark IV plans available from Aircraft Spruce & Specialty) and Nick that the photographed aircraft is a Velocity, specifically the Velocity XL-RG four place with retractible gear. I have closeup photos of several in my Canard Experimental section of my Home Page here. The Velocity XL canard can also be built with fixed gear with streamlined wheel pants.

Aircraft Spruce acquired the Cozy Mark IV design rights in 2004 and is sole source for plans and info packs.

I think I have found it. It is N65VT. I used the FAA registration search for Velocity XL-RG and found the ones that have 5 character tail numbers. Google searched those and eliminated some. I then came across this:

The only two possible others are N66XL and N99KT, which have no pictures. N65VT seemed to match the barely distinguishable tail number in my picture.
