Some historic Aussie photos

Hi Everybody. Seasons greetings to you all.

My family gave me a slide and film scanner for Christmas and I have scanned a few slides from the 1960's which I have uploaded - see my home page. I have more old slides to scan and add later.

The colour has changed on some of them, and some old film stock had a certain colour caste, however, I hope you find them interesting.

Ahhh a 2 year old Cessna 175. That is nice. Old slides are the best.

Love the vintage stuff!

BTW much of the color can be restored with a quick run through your photo editor. Here's some examples of the auto color correction in Photoshop.

I still have a bit to learn about my photo editor, the free download Xnview. I've had a bit of a play with it and the results look good. When I get more time I will re-do the images and upload them again.

when you start your editing, make them to YOUR liking, not someone elses. do this to be happy with your pictures the way you want them to look. It will take lots of practice, and patience. GOOD LUCK!!!!
