I am looking for any information on this plane. Anything at all. It was built by my Grandfather Col. John C. Darby Jr. I have memories of flying with him in this plane.

He was retired airforce. Fought in Vietnam and Korea. He was also in the movie Tora! Tora! Tora!. When he retired to Stephenville Texas, he built the RV-6. He named it after his 4 legged companion, Toddy, who he said helped him build the plane. In the late 90s, he developed neuropathy in his legs and per Dr. orders, he had to sell the Toddy Too. He kept in contact with the man in Las Vegas Nevada who bought the plane, for many years. I understand a few years ago, the new owner of the Toddy Too died in another aircraft he owned. My Grandfather passed in Dec of 2008. I understand the plane is pending registration? I googled Grandaddy's name and the word aircraft and found pictures of his plane. I cried when I saw them! It looks just like it did when I flew with him. However, it was somewhat bitter sweet as the first pictures I saw of the plane she was sitting all alone. That picture was taken in March of 2010. Today I see there are new pictures added and she is flying! Gives me much more comfort to see someone enjoy it. There is a lot of heart in that plane.
