It's a Lockheed 18, but I don't know anything about the specific aircraft.

I found a Lockheed B-34 Ventura, which is a military derivative of the Model 18, with registration N44M on a CAA (predecessor to the FAA) list of accidents. The accident was 12/17/1954 in Milwaukee, but there is no information on the type of accident or resulting injuries or damage to the aircraft.

Some Venturas were modified as executive transports after the war by Howard Aero. This was probably one of those.

In addition to the above information about the accident, the operator is listed as Miller Brewing, so this is probably the same aircraft.

I keep finding new information.

At the following URL is an old newspaper account of the crash of this airplane. It killed the president of Miller Brewing, Frederick C. Miller, his son and two pilots.
