Not before my time-I rode in several Boeing 707 airline versions. The B707 was offered with dash numbers; differing specifications per ordering airlines. Some had just hot section reversers, some had both hot and cold section reversers. The ratio between hot section and cold (bypass) section gas flow made some of the determinations. Both turbojet and turbofan powered B707s were offered in the long build history. Developed military variations were KC-135s ( no reversers), VC-137s and EC-137s.
