America has only one aircraft manufacturer of ATC'd production biplane aircraft. That would be Classic Aircraft Corp. who this past week based their newest model at Santa Paula Airport SZP, awaiting the opening of AOPA's Aviation Summit where it will be shown this week at Long Beach LGB.
N369AS is a 1992 WACO YMF-5C Barnstormer model that was converted by the company to the -5D Super configuration. It is powered by a Jacobs R755 A2 300 hp radial and is liberally stencilled with all the other mods, including vented cowl and changes to the landing gear. See my photos of this aircraft taken over two days at SZP. On 7 November, N110AS, a Classic Aircraft WACO YMF-5C Barnstormer model with 275 horsepower radial was also at SZP which is a local regular visitor and also photographed by me.
