Okay, I found the problem. I took the serial off the plane (R5C BuNo) and converted it to the original USAF number and found it on Baugher's site. I assumed that was correct, especially since his site shows it going to the NMNA in 1948.
I just recently bought Andy Marden's excellent book "USA Military Out of Service 2010/2011" and he has it as being marked 39611/43-47047 but in reality it is 43-47350. So, I'll have to edit my photos to N611Z and not worry about building a new profile. SO you can pull down that profile on 43-47047.
Baugher has a very interesting history on that plane: 47350 (c/n 421/CK398) transferred to Chinese government in Jun 10, 1945. Bought by Claire L. Chennault and Whiting Willauer Nov 1949 registered as N8364C. Bought by Civil Air Transport Dec 19, 1949. Bought by CAT SA Jan 1953 registered N8361C. Bought by L. B. Smith Aircraft Corp Jul 5, 1955 registered N1382N. To Zantop Air Transport Oct 18, 1955 reregistered as N611Z Apr 28, 1960.
Transferred to Universal Airlines Sep 21, 1966. Bought by Aviation Associates of Georgia Mar 15, 1968. Bought by RALCO Aug 6, 1968. Bought by Robert N. Wilcox Oct 1973. Tranferred to Wilcox Enterprises Inc Nov 17, 1975. Returned to Robert N. Wilcos Apr 5, 1976. Bought by American Flyers Inc Jan 1, 1976. Bought by Florida Aircraft Leasing Corp Oct 1985. WFU and stored Mar 1986. Noted Mar 2006 at National Museum of Naval Aviation, Pensacola, FL painted as 39611.
