I e-mailed Hank Geerlings about this photo and profile, but I figured I'd cover all bases.
This profile is in error, since the aircraft ID is not what is marked on the aircraft. While the aircraft is marked as 43-47047/39611, it is in reality 43-47350 and registered as N611Z. This is a problem with many museum aircraft which are marked as some other bird. There is information that the Naval Aviation Museum was indeed given 43-47047 in 1948, but I can find no record of its disposition afterwards. N611Z was given to the Museum later and apparently replaced the other one. Joe Baugher has this entry:

While Baugher says it was noted in 2006 at NMNA, the earliest shot on A-D is 1998, and I photographed it 2003. So 2006 must be the first time someone provided information on it. The Warbird Registry shows it transferred to NMNA in 1988.
