There are two planes of the same type with this call sign and I’m wondering if there could be some misidentification, since both show also registered as G-AKNB. I find it difficult to believe that this could happen.
The N59NA showing c/n 9043 is from the FAA’s current registration, so I figure that is good. The FAA also shows N59NA with c/n 11750 as deregistered, so that’s good so far. I realize same types will often have the same call sign as the owner replaces an older plane with a newer one but keeps the registration for the new one. I found the ex-N59NA on the ‘net as registered LN-WND in Norway.
Searching the ‘net I also came up with a NTSB crash report on c/n 9043, registered as G-AKNB. So I think the profiles show show that N59NA, c/n 9043, is ex-G-AKNB, which crashed in the UK in 1982 and was sold to USA as N59NA in 1995.
Then the other profile for N59NA c/n 11750 should be linked to LN-WND, and the G-AKNB profile for this c/n should be deleted.
