I'm thinking of deleting many of my aircraft photo's here. I don't want to delete any photo's on the site if my photo is the only photo Airport-data has of that aircraft. However, since my photography basically isn't great (yes I'll admit that) and there are several other photo's on the site depicting the same aircraft, I thought I would go ahead and delete some of my photo's.

I was wondering if anyone here has done the same thing in the past or has ever considered it.

Hi Daniel,

Personally I am constantly deleting photo's as I get better shot's of previously uploaded subject's but my primary goal here is to collect just one good shot of each airframe unless it is in a different scheme or has been re-registered its totally subjective so your choice as to how you handle your collection.

Cheers

Nick

Hi Daniel,

You dont need to delete any of your photo's as it is your personnel photo gallery and it does not matter if there are several photos of the same aircraft from different photographers.

I would suggest doing what Nick has suggested, If you feel you have taken a better photo than one you already have, then it is your decision to remove a lesser quality photo.

One thing to remember, no two photos are the same, they capture a moment in time and tell there own story.

cheers

Both good replies and thanks to both of you. I think I'll take your advice and delete the photo's only if a better photo opportunity presents itself.

It seems that digital photography has advantages as well as disadvantages in relation to film. The advantage of convenience is obvious. The disadvantage is that its easy to use the machine gun approach and post everything on the memory card.
