N15XP

Hi all,

I am a member of the Colorado Soaring Association in Wellington, Colorado. Our trainer plane, N15XP, is an experimental glider made by MCHOLLAND C L. I am starting my online application through IACRA for my PGL, and it asks for an aircraft . You can search its data base by ID or Typer and/or Description. No every single way I try, I cannot find this aircraft. I have tried all kinds of combinations, not even my instructor knows. Any help would be great. Screen shot and links should be attached.

I don't know much about using IACRA, but I've looked up a few sailplanes /gliders in its database. Some are listed, some are not.

Your glider type/model is not in the database.

Also noted the comment column on most light aircraft,

under IACRA TypeRating; as (Not type rated)

This excerpt from the:

AVS Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) INSTRUCTION MANUAL

states:

"This instruction manual currently applies to registration, consoles, certification path selection and the Airline Transport Pilot FAR 61, 121 and 135 certification process only."

No part 91 ?

Your request is confusing me. N15XP is registered Experimental glider and a single seat aircraft. How could you take dual instruction in it? And how could you get around the FAA prohibition of Experimental aircraft being used for hire?
