I just noticed this thread and thought it would be fun to play so here goes.

For my taste an image doesn't have to have the qualities of an award winner to be a favorite. All it needs is to be able to spark a memory or an image of something past, present or future.

I like this one a lot because the guy in the backseat seems to be taking pictures with a P & S camera and when I saw that on my monitor it made me chuckle.

This fellow put on an incredible performance at the 2013 Abbotsford Airshow and watching this magnificent aircraft brought back many memories of seeing the " Red Knight " punch holes in the sky when I was a youngster.

It doesn't get much straighter than this and it displays the flying abilities of the Cdn. Forces Snowbirds. They aren't the fastest display team on the planet but they are as sharp as a tack.

I wonder if the guy in the back of the FC-18 is a Snowbird pilot? Read helmet and fight suit.

The Little Gransden Air & Vintage Vehicle Show always produces some rare aircraft, including a pair of Spartan 7W's

The Cold War Jets open day at Bruntingthorpe gives you the chance to get up close and hear them roar

and finally, at the end of a three day road trip, we called into East Midlands Airport and found this Douglas DC3C-S1C3G parked up

TWO Spartan Exec's in the air together!? Very rare!

I would love to see a Lightning fly...there's on in the US that has been under restoration to fly for about 10 years now...getting closer every day...maybe one day they will get her airborne.

I never even thought of that and if you know their emblem and patch which you obviously do it's evident you hit the nail on the head. The emblem is painted on the top rear of the helmet and the shoulder patch is in view in this very big and noisy crop of the same shot.

I have to tell you the pilot put that bird through it's paces that day.

The shot still makes me chuckle though.
