Zane,
I believe your photos show either the prototype Maverick TJ-1500 Twinjet 1500 or a kit-built example. The ventral rear fins seem to have nailed it. Only the window in the left side door appears to differ (smaller) from the flying example shown at Oshkosh in June 2001, suggesting its the prototype. The registered flight example was N750TJ.
Maverick Air, Inc. of Penrose, CO was listed in Janes 2002-2003, on p.655-656 with photo, three-view and specs, never to be seen again in Janes. 2001 kit cost $219,000, less engines. Two engines-reconditioned GE T58 turbojets, $110,000 more. Five kits delivered by early 2001 of 14 ordered.
A proposed six-seat, European-built certified derivative was announced in August, 2001,-the MC2400. Factory-built version to use two Williams FJ33 or Agilis turbofans. Nothing more is known of that. With that open hangar, I would have gone in and asked.
