Black Hawk Serial Numbers

In the database, under the series "Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk", we have variances in the format for the serial numbers.

For example

78-22982 70.0045

78-22986 70-049 (as Scramble)

78-22991 70054 (as Joe Baugher)

Is anyone able to shed any light upon the reason for these differences please?

It looks like different people have different ways to add their numbers because of their locations. Maybe they don't know about the site you are talking about. Is there a way to correct them to what is the proper way to display them?

The site he referenced is http://www.joebaugher.com/ and it lists the serial numbers for Military aircraft. However, some people like to add other punctuation's or numbers as they think it standardizes site. sometimes the site doesn't have the information and then the person should try to do a search with the information they have available to them as to try and accurately identify the aircraft
