Editing help wanted

Hi everyone

I have had a request from Air International wanting to publish two of my photo's

and have asked me to supply hi-rez (300dpi) versions for publication.

As a novice at didgital photography, is there anyone out there who could give me some help or advice. I use photoshop elements 6, but all I do to my photo's is crop them and adjust the horizon

I have gone into "image > resize > Image size". deselected "resample image" and then set the pixels/inch to "300", but this doesn't seem to change the quality of the image.

First Congratulations!

As for the image size, I would take your original and crop/straighten/adjust it like you like it and send them that full sized image. I don't see anything on my PS that denotes DPI...that is more of a scanner/printer setting and not the digital camera image.

With my limited knowledge, DPI (dot per inch) depends on how big your photo will be printed. Say you have a digital photo with 1024x768, printed out with 4 inch width, then the it would be 1024/4=256DPI.

So just send them with original size.
