I recently took this photo, but I am not sure how to format Coast Guard Registration in regard to prefixes, suffixes, etc.
6587 is written on the tail.
Accoriding to joebaugher.com:
6500/6608 Aerospatiale HH-65A Dolphin
6587 (c/n 6287) converted to HH-65B, then to HH-65C
Any help would be appreciated
I personally prefer to organize my photos both on the site and on my computer by ICAO identifier. With Aircraft Photos I can post them as either ICAO or IATA and they will show up on the airport listing. With airport photos I notice that there is now a drop down search suggestion feature like there is for airports. When I post them as K***, they show up in the search suggestions, but do not show up on the airport page which is still only search able by IATA or FAA identifier. If I post airport photos by IATA they will show up. This problem has existed before, back when there was no search suggestion menu for airport photos.
I Just heard that there is a major fire in the tank farm at the Miami airport. I just flew through there Sunday. Does anyone have pics?

Does the "Correct or submit additional aircraft data" function still work? I submitted some changes about a month ago and it did not show up. I can't remember which aircraft it was.

I was reviewing my database and found this. It looks like the last part of the tail number was cut off. There are several airframes that start with N31 but without photos it is hard to determine. If someone could identify the type that would be helpful. It is definitely experimental, but is it a prefabricated model? Any help would be appreciated.

Like Doug says, I put the unknown formation stuff under airports with my own subcategory of "Airshows"
Agreed. Then the "UNKNOWN" registration would be reserved for individual aircraft.

It appears that people are creating extra airframes in order to fill in known information about an aircraft. I would keep the "Various Various C/N Various" entry and delete the rest. The known information can then be described in the photo's caption.

I just got a chance to use the new function. It is very convenient. However, it would help if the thumbnail photos were sorted by the original file name.

The new uploader would not accept a file that was 4.2mb in size, claiming it was too large. The single-file uploader accepts the file.
In my experience I find it unnecessary to upload such a large file. The site limits displayed images to 1280 pixels due to screen size restraints. Uploading a file larger than this is redundant. I use Google's Picasa to edit my photos in adjusting lighting, etc. It also has an export function which allows you to reduce the dimensions of a group of photos. This also reduces the file size. See this thread. I re-size mine to 1280 pixels using the "Normal" setting. File size is reduced significantly and consequently the upload time.
Hope this helps

What would work is to upload just the raw photos all at once and then edit the data for them after they are on the site but before they are made visible.

I just saw this photo on the "Random Aircraft Photos" and viewed it. I noticed that M-YBBJ had no data entry so I decided to correct it. I looked up the prefix on Wikipedia and found it to be the Isle of Man with a footnote saying, "ITU code 'M' is registered to the United Kingdom. The Isle of Man is not a sovereign entity in international law." I googled "isle of man aircraft registry" and found this with the info I needed. However, from reading the short list, it appears there are people from all over the world registering their aircraft there. Another page said, "The Isle of Man Aircraft Register became operational on 1st May 2007. The register is open to all non-commercial aircraft and is expected to be of particular interest to professionally flown corporate operators." Would anyone care to elaborate on why this is?
Just saw this on Fox News this afternoon after school.

I'm wondering what this will do to the ever-tightening GA security situation.
Got one from "SuperModer"
The FAA lists all submitted contact info for an aircraft registration. N291TP is registered to:
PATTERSON, GEORGE M
8455 STATE HIGHWAY 173 N
BANDERA, TEXAS 78003
http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=N291TP
Using the WhitePages.com reverse address function we learn that his phone number is (830) 796-4071.

Definitely not 26138. I took a close up of the tail under the assumption that it would be enough to find it. Maybe next time I will just ask the pilot. I also think I remember the announcer saying that one of the Blackhawks there was brand new. I'm still searching around for info
http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/409901.html
I was at the 2009 Great Georgia Airshow and photographed a UH-60 black hawk. The number "20138" was on the tail. The sign in front of it indicates a UH-60M. I have searched A-D, Google, other attendees' photos on Flickr, Airliners.net, and http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/usafserials.html. I have come up with nothing. Army tail numbers always seem to be the hardest to find info on. Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps seem easier. Any Suggestions.?
Thanks,
Connor
I think hydrogen should be the new fuel.

Yes this can be done. However, it must be done by the site admin. Just send him a private message here and be sure to tell him the name the photos are listed under and the account you need them attributed to. Or you could just send him the 4 links/image numbers instead.
Hope this helps,
Connor
