Thought this clip might be of interest to some here. It shows an engine run of a Spitfire MK 16. First time it has been started up in 17 years. Hope it gets flying soon.

Here's something you don't see everyday... a Curtiss CW-19R flying by. Gotta love it.

Yes... You can hear Kermit briefing his crew about the fire risk, and ask for an extinguisher to be ready; but it wasn't exactly ready for instant use though, was it?
I thought they acted pretty quickly. And took care of the situation quite competently.
After many years in restoration, the Stinson L-1 finally had its first flight at Fantasy of Flight. Paul Stecewycz, Andy Salter and the rest of the Fantasy crew were all smiles as they watched pilot Kermit Weeks start her up, taxi her out, and take to the sky. Watch from the ground and in the cockpit and enjoy the first flight of the only flying Stinson L-1 in existence.

Thats the difference between an experienced pilot and a newbee... knowing your plane and situation, and when to have a fire extinguisher on standby.
The crew out at Fantasy of Flight has been busy working on getting their Gee Bee Z ready to fly again.

Really cool video of a Grumman Duck flight, shot from multiple angles. Three camera view of a water landing and take off. Nice!

Here's a three part cockpit GoPro video done by Kermit Weeks "Kermie Cam" of his Grumman Duck. Pretty cool clips, especially part 3 when he lands on water. By far my favorite of this series so far.

Another great series of GoPro cockpit videos from Kermit Weeks "Kermie Cam". This time it is the Grumman Wildcat. Think a lot of you will enjoy this one. First two videos are pre-flight, and the third has take off and a short flight. Fun.

Found another Kermie Cam posting. This time he flies a Polikarpov Po-2 biplane. Part one is a plane inspection and preflight. Then part two takes you into the cockpit for the flight. Pretty cool.

Kermit Weeks uploaded some great GoPro "Kermie Cam" video of his one of a kind P-51C Mustang. Pretty cool pre-flight and flight video from pilot perspective. Parts 1 and 2 are pre-flight. Part 3 is in flight.

Pretty cool video of Kermit Week's P-51D Cripes A' Mighty. Kermit takes tourist on flight of his life, doing fast passes and even a roll and four point roll. Nice cockpit camera view puts you in the back seat too. Awesome.

Kermit Weeks takes his newly-acquired Albatros D.Va for its first flight since arriving in Florida. Built by Peter Jackson's The Vintage Aviator, Ltd. in New Zealand, this was its first flight in the US - and very likely the first flight of any Albatros in the US in a very long time! The engine is an authentic Mercedes 200hp straight six-cylinder engine. Awesome sound!
