Hello all, I'm new to the forums but I've been adding photos to this website for a few years now. I'm really into aviation and my community, which would be cental Minnesota, and quite off I do the "search aircraft by manufacturer" function then pick on a manufacturer and browse for aircraft based in MN. I think it would be really neat to have something like that with pulldown bars where you can search by city and/or state/province.

The only other website that I know of that does that is www.aircraftone.com, but they don't have user-added pictures of the aircraft, which is the main reason I come here for my searches in GA aviation.

It's just a suggestion, but I'd LOVE to see it added, it'd be a great addition to the site!

No interest?? That's fine, but I still would love to see that implemented sometime in the future! :

Hi Kreg,

Thanks for the suggestion, and sorry for the late reply. Not that I am not interested, but currently with a long to-do list, I didn't even find time to evaluate the suggestion.

I'm sure there are more web databases that might achieve similar to your wishes-for example: Ventura County in California has every based aircraft (and there are a lot!) by make, model and ownership on the web-taken from the VC Personal Property Tax database. You might try a search engine such as Google for such a local database, if applicable. It might be more difficult here, because aircraft are associated with airport codes, not cities or states. And, that is logical because airports are where aircraft operate from, to or are based, and hence, photographed.

You do have the option of arranging your own homepage of photos-you could do so by cities or states where aircraft were photographed, if you wish. But ask? Would that be of value to others in finding a particular aircraft?
