:)
When I was new, a short time back, I too wondered why there was such a delay in updating and approving pictures. However, having been here a little while and reading the forums, I can understand that a person has to have patience when dealing with the amount of data that is being sent. I think this site is an excellent place to display pictures and information. I really appreciate all the people involved and want to say "THANKS FOR THE HARD WORK AND HOPE IT LASTS". If you are an impatient type, maybe you should find another hobby. Thanks Ken, Blue and all the other contributors who pass out excellent information and take great pictures.
I guess I don't understand what people are saying about it taking long to
"approve" pictures. As soon as I post the picture it is available on the site. I can turn back around type in the number and there is the picture at anyone's disposal.
I have pretty much taken the "approval" of the photo as a formality. I have posted 19,000 photos and Ken has yet to reject one of mine, I have put some less than ideal stuff up too. You don't have those kinds of odds on airliners.net. I probably would be lucky to have about 100 of my 19,000 photos accepted on airliners.net as Ken hasn't rejected anyone for bad lighting, blur etc. I would say it is more than fair.
Oh yeah, I have waited 3 weeks before on myaviation.net before my pictures were posted. I don't see what the big deal is. The pictures are immediately available to anyone.
I want to thank Ken for not being anal like airliners.net, where a.net will reject a perfectly good photo just because there is a dust spot in the corner of the picture that couldn't even be seen with the naked eye. He's given a lot of people a chance to post their pictures - some pictures, which most of the other photo sites would reject - including half of my own.
