One thing that has bugged me for quite some time is that the images I upload to Airport-Data never display any of the EXIF data.

I use Adobe Lightroom V2.4 to process my RAW images and generate the JPEG files that I upload, and the EXIF data is definitely present in the files. Is anyone else here using Lightroom? If so, is the EXIF data being displayed on Airport-Data?

Maybe it's because the EXIF code I use can only handle standard camera metadata. What kind of camera you are using?

Ken

It's an Olympus E-3. I don't think the brand has anything to do with the problem if you aren't looking at the proprietary maker metadata -- I'm inclined to think that the way Lightroom outputs the EXIF data causes the problem. That's why I'm wondering if anyone else here uses it to prepare their JPEG files.

The brand of the digital camera can make a difference-just look at my older photos taken before early July 2008 with a Hewlett Packard R607-none of the photo metadata shutter speeds were ever logical or correct, and there were other metadata anomalies.

Conversely, Ken's system works just fine with my Canon A720IS photos; no metadata errors, issues or problems noted. Like you, I have also noted some camera brands yield no photo metadata here.

But my JPEG files and the EXIF metadata are not being created by the camera, they are being created by Lightroom -- it dictates the metadata format and contents.
