Airport where it's taken

I feel sure that this has been asked before!

What should I enter in the upload field if the airport/airfield has no 4 digit identity?

For example

Fishburn

Usworth

Winthorpe

East Fortune

The field has insufficient width to enter the full name.

Also, if the image is taken 'off airport', how should this be entered?

Leave the airport field blank, then in your remarks tell where it is, even if off field. I've done many of those. The airport field will not accept N/A, and puts it at some European airport (it's been a while since I've done that, so I don't remember what airport it lists when you do n/a).

a useful site for UK airfield codes can be found at

http://www.homepages.mcb.net/bones/06airfields/UK/uk.htm

it also has a KML file that you can download in Google Earth so you can see the locations of each airfield, something I find very useful when planning trips

Hello Chris,

Please excuse the delay in resonse.

This website I feel sure will be useful.

Is it OK do you think to use the 'X' designations in the database, e.g. X5FB for Fishburn, X4WT for Winthorpe, etc.

I don't like to leave this field blank as it results in a ltotal lack of location in some circumstances.
