Is this the rendition aircraft that everyone has been talking about?

Not sure what you mean by "rendition" in this sense, but the Gulfstream IV has been around since design work beginning in early 1983, with first of four prototypes making its first flight on 19 September 1985. A developed G-IV-the G IV-SP went on to set at least 74 aircraft world records.

I suspect you may be referring to the brand new Gulfstream G-650, which N475LC is not, if you get my drift. Brand new meaning first flight last month.

Thanks for the "political" insight, Zane; I don't read left wing blog sites and hope that aircraft wings, rather than the "left wing" can be restored to discussions on this aviation site.

I answered the Forum input by the guy thinking it was an odd referral to Gulfstream's latest G-650 aircraft launch, which obviously wasn't the G-IV. Obtuse and off the wall entries here can confuse or even diminish this fine site. Your inputs and help are always spot on, and I for one appreciate that.
