About April of 1948 my Dad bought NC1620N, a 1947 FUNK aircraft. I don't recall when he sold it or to whom, but I have always wanted to find out where the "old Funk" was and how it was doing. I loved riding in that plane and I truly believe that was the impetus for me to pursue a career as a pilot. Would love to see pictures of the A/C and if it ever comes up for sale, would consider the possibility of a purchase.

According to the FAA, that Funk with that registration was de-registered (registration cancelled) in 1961. Reason for cancellation "Destroyed."
That doesn't necessarily mean it crashed. It might have just been junked for some reason.
Sorry about that.

Chris, thanks for the info, always kind of dreamed of restoring Dads plane and flying it in my "Golden Years", but sometimes those dreams are just that.
Once again thanks.

I forgot to mention that the last owner was listed as Charles Button, RD 3, Great Bend, KS 67530.
