I successfully uploaded an image of a Goblin engine which appears among the latest uploads.

However there is no sign of it in the 'Unknown' category even though I raised an identity for it. It is also not among the unidentified unknowns i.e. those which are nor even identified by manufacturer/type.

Have I erred in the procedure in some way and how can I correct this?

I also raised a category in 'Unknown' for a Mignet HM-14 but the image has appeared within the unidentified unknowns. Could this be corrected as well please.

Malcolm.

Can you give me the photo ID? You can find it in member section.

Thanks Ken.

May I make a further point to anyone reading this thread?

The 'Uknown' category is well and truly stuffed with total unknowns, that is those images where the manufacturer, aircraft type and reg are not identified. However many of these, I would suggest, can easily be identified by manufacturer and type even though the reg may be unknown. In these cases I believe that they should be entered into the database as normal but identifying just the reg and cn as unknown - exactly as was my intention with the above and more prior to them.

The problem appears to be that having created a database location for a named unknown, when uploading the image, the choice of model is limited to 10 and the chosen model may not be listed among these.

Therefore the connection between the image and the database location is not made.
