  • Need N5K 1952 Stits SA-2 SKY BABY Photos Moved

N5K has been used to register several different experimental aircraft designs. My three photos of N5K, a 1952 Stits SA-2 Sky Baby that is a de-registered Museum aircraft need to be moved to the proper N5K heading. I have been unable to do that, despite correcting photo captions.

At 7' 2" wingspan in a stagger-wing configuration, the Stits SA-2 SKY BABY is the World's smallest flyable airplane.

I think I cleaned it up for you. :

Had to add a new listing for the SA-11A Playmate ( the other, other, other N5K !!) which had photos under wrong type-listing: Poberezny Paul H POBER JR ACE (C/N 2)

The SA-11A was originally N9681Z then Ray Stitts remarked it to N5K and back to N9861Z in 1969... and now apparently back with EAA in N5K markings . (go figure!).

The FAA registry shows it currently:

Hope I got this right, if not, I'm sure someone will let me know..

John, I certainly thank you for quickly responding and doing what I was not able to accomplish. I tried a minimal way but your extensive new creation solved the problem without having need Ken to intervene.

I also thank Glenn Chatfield for calling attention to my misplaced N5K photos, which despite the initial wrong heading, have received a lot of viewing. Glenn drove recently to visit Pioneer Airport and the EAA Museum at OSH and also photographed the Stits SA-2 Sky Baby, thus finding my problem.

This marvelous hobby site continues to show wonderful cooperation and communication of friendly members to fix anomalies, solve problems or identify the odd aircraft, and I am appreciative of all these personal efforts members have contributed. Thank you both, again!

FYI.. The SA-11A had N5K from the beginning (1964). The short number was used by the Skybaby, Playmate, and SA-9A Skycoupe through the years. The EAA Museum has made multipe transfers also on many aircraft.
