i been geting alot of errros on tail numbers i have e-mail alot of times about helicopters Tail numbers coming up as airplanes not helicopters why is this doing that ??? dont helicopters need to have there tail numbers to show up in a Data Base as a helicopter or a Fix Wing aircraft just plain out Weird
just wondering
Hi Michael,
I don't really understand your question. Are you trying to say that when you enter a tail number on our website (supposedly for a helicopter), a fix wing airplane showed up instead? If that's what you meant, could be give me an example, so I can trace down the problem.
If that's not what you meant, please elaborate your question.
Thanks,
Ken
if you click on any of the Bell Jetrangers pictures i have uploaded all the tail numbers point to fix wing airplanes and not helicopters
There're a few possible reasons for that. It could be the helicopter is been deregistered, and the tail number was reused for a fix-wing. It could also be that you typed a wrong number.
For example, check this photo, http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/064593.html, it should be N526DL, not N5260L.
and this one: http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/038382L.html, I think it's N305SB, not N30588.
Hope it helps,
Ken
