Here are some problem profiles, caused by the use of Beechcraft and Beech for the manufacturer, and the FAA-generated profile using the s/n for the c/n. This looks like partially my fault for trying to link these a year ago before I knew such a problem existed.

Can all the profiles be fixed by changing the c/n on the top profile for 77-22940 to be the same as the FAA one, with a comment noting the true c/n as BC-51, manufacturer's names made the same, etc?

Or would it be best to delete all the 77-22940 profiles and start anew with a link from N48JA making the new one?

Glenn.

I have decided not to link them.

77-22940 now carries a comment referring to N48JA.

I remain undecided as to the best option for incorrect FAA data.

I can add a similar note as 77-22940 with additional corrections included.

Or I can raise tickets for the changes to the FAA data which will result in phantom data which will appear when the profile is accessed but which will not change the underlying FAA auto data. In some ways this is preferable as clearly the data in the profiles ought to match and anyone who wishes to see the actual FAA data can easily access the FAA site.

I thought to air these alternatives once more. If nobody replies to the contrary, I will follow the second option.

Malcolm.

Malcolm,

That looks good. It was either that or delete all profiles for 77-22940 and start over with the link, with comment as to real c/n. But this way fixes the problem. Only one thing I thought would finish it is the comment I just sent for N48JA to note that it was exported to Venezuela

I have already actioned your comment Glenn.

We don't hang about!
