  • How do I delete an image and replace it?

Hi all,

First post. I want to delete an uploaded image I've uploaded to the database, but want to replace it with a superior version. How do I do this?

TIA.

Mark

Hi Mark,

Welcome to airport-data.com.

Log into the Members section and select Aircraft Photos from the menu.

There is a "Delete" option below the details of your photo. This will delete the photo and supporting data. Then you can upload the correct image as you did the first one.

Regards,

Peter.

Ahoy!

Thanks for that. My problem is that I uploaded the image prior to becoming a member, so it's not in my database, though I've uploaded an enhanced version anyway which now shoes in my image database list. Seems there is no way of deleting a one-off uploaded image (unless you know otherwise of course).

Hi Mark

if you can give me the Photo ID number or a link to the image you want deleting, I can do it for you

Is the picture numbered AC479252 you want deleted Mark? This appears to be the one you entered before becoming a member. If so, we'll take care of it for you

Because this picture was placed under your name and not your AD name, I deleted the photo

Errrm . . . NWAN . . . OK . . . give me a clue :?:

I still have other duplicated images to delete as I uploaded before becoming a member and it wasn't un til after that I realised I've duplicated a few.

Thanks.

Mark

Hi Mark

if you give me a list of all your duplicates, I will remove them for you

As you are from Liverpool UK, the NWAN forum is a great source of info for whats due into Liverpool John Lennon airport and other Northwest airfields

Thx Chris. Who's going to Bruntingthorpe next Sunday for the Cold War Jets Open Day? I need someone to push me in my wheelchair (I'm serious BTW), I live nadjacent to EGGP, but Sleazyjet Airbus 319's and Ryanair Boeing 737's are a bit monotonous. Tiger Moth, Chippy, Airmaster and a few others over there as well. I'm kinda 'in' with Martin Keen (owner of Keenair) who's subsidiary companies are on the WWW (Liverpool Flying School) http://www.liverpoolflyingschool.com/ the Tiger Moth image on the homepage is mine. I gave them permission to use it. If you click on the image, it takes you to the Tiger Moth page where another of my images is shown (bottom one of the group of 3).

Wish I could get back to Fantasy of Flight in Florida as I never did 'finish' what I started.

Looks like an aviation toggers dream day out.
