I was looking through my old photo's and found a picture of a T-34 that was at Oshkosh for the 1992 EAA Convention. Unfortunately I have no record of the registration number. I'm look through most of the existing T-34 photos on A-D and can't find a match. Any help on figuring out the registration number would be appreciated.

I don't know if the "KR" tail code is authentic or not. I believe that KR refers to Mountain Home AFB.

Tim,

I've been looking for that one..T-34 seem to change their stripes, so to speak, rather often. I have a couple that I can't find as well...

can you zoom in on the partial numbers visible under the tail for a clue?

Unfortunately I've lost the negative for this photo, but I was able to get some time on that machine Deckard used in the movie Blade Runner.

The text below the front seat says "CAPN JACK".

I can't make out the text under the skull and cross bones. :-(

After enlarging and enhancing the bottom of the registration numbers, it looks like the registration number is rather short. Four digits including the "N", N13T or N134. Both are valid T-34 registration numbers today nearly 19 years later.

After googling N13T and N134 I found something promising at the T-34.com website. The T-34 Association's Mentor Monitor 1991 July issue has a scan of Jack Richey's T-34 restoration project N13T. I think I have a match. Other back issues say that this aircraft won best T-34 at Oshkosh in 1991.
