I am trying to find some info on the 2 IL-76TDs I saw at Manas International in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. I was able to catch the registration of one of them, it was RDPL-34163

however, the 2nd one i couldnt get a good angle on as we taxiied out

it looks to have the same livery, which looks very close to a normal soviet livery.

the other thing i dont understand is the registration of RDPL-XXXXX. What is the origin of the RDPL part of the registration? is it something to do with military?

thanks for any help

After checking the internet, I found the following information regarding the ship you have the number for, it's registered to:

Laos People's Democratic Republic. RDPL stands for "République Démocratique Populaire du Laos". I found no other information on this ship, however there are some pictures of other Il-76 on Airliners.net

Maybe you can build a profile for the ship
