Anyone know what the ERBDSF at the end means? i assume ER is for extended range, but no clue about the BDSF. Saw a Star Air (Maersk) 767 with that type designation when i went through Ireland and its got me all interested. thanks for the help

BCF = Boeing Converted Freighter

BDSF = Bedek Special Freighter (Bedek in Tel Aviv), different than the conversions under Boeings direct control.

Interesting, ok thanks for the answer. happen to know what is different about them?

Don't know too much about conversion details, as I don't follow that part of the industry, with a magnifying-glass.

In 2005 Bedek did not have an STC for Boeing conversions.

Saw some quotes from the Company, stating that they consider themselves an OEM, so STC ? maybe / maybe not?

Also had heard that the BDSF conversions cost less than BCF.

General differences between BCF and BDSF conversions:

BDSF have single window between doors 1L and 2L.

BCFs > all lower deck windows plugged except in the doors.

BDSF > all windows plugged behind upper deck door.

BCF > single window behind the door left.

...probably some exceptions flying out there...

Bedek conversions on World Airways, Air China, Eva Air and Asiana 747-400 frames.

I don't have any notes 0n 767 frame conversions.

Anybody with any additional info, or corrections to my post, welcome!
