N16CA
n 1970, Conroy Aircraft marketed a remanufactured HU-16A with Rolls-Royce Dart turboprop engines as the Conroy Turbo Albatross, but only one prototype (registration N16CA) was ever built.
Conroy Aircraft was an affiliate of Aerospace Lines, creators of the super guppy series.
Unfortunately long term, outside storage in south Florida, took its toll on this airframe.
The aircraft was cut up, and the remains were, HIGHLY modified into an exhibit for a northeastern U.S. museum.

Shame, another one-of-a-kind prototype is gone. :(
I remember seeing it for many years at the Salisbury (KSBY) MD airport.
