Admin team,

how do I see if an upload is finished? I just loaded up a two pictures and the complete filled mask except the file position appeared again. This is a little confusing. I guess in the first attempt, I loaded up a picture twice.

I do have no knowledge in programming but would it be possible to add something like a queue, where we could see what is already loaded up, like in the workshop aera?

thanks

Fritz

Ditto.

Uploaded a different image to anything which is already in database, and there was no means of telling me if image was uploaded.

I tried 3 times, so if image has uploaded 3 times, I apologise.

I suspect this is to do with new rules??

Advice please admin.

Thanks again.

I have just tried to upload an image to check everything is working and there appears to be a bug in the upload programme.

I will ask Ken to look into it

Chris

Admin team

Just tried to upload via the workshop facility and that is working OK

MRG2507 it is OK if you upload an image similar to an other photographer, the problem we have been having is when one person uploads 10-15 images of the same aircraft which are nearly all identical.

Bug is fixed. Sorry about that. :

Ken

works again

Thanks :)

I think that we need a bit of clarity regarding uploaded images.

They will appear on the site as soon as you have uploaded them, We (the admin team) are not screening images before they are accepted onto the site as we still want this to be a free uploading site.

What we are asking is please don't dump everything from your camera memory card straight onto the site, but to check for duplicates or almost-identical shots from your own collections. We are asking you to be self moderating

If we (the admin team) do find any duplicated or almost-identical shots from the same photographer then they will be deleted. I have been guilty of this myself in the past and I am removing images from my own collection.

As a rough guideline, try to have a difference of about 45 degrees in the angle of view for each image. An exception to this simple rule would be significant changes on an aircraft, e.g. change of colour scheme, fitting of winglets ect.

If there is anything you are unsure about, please feel free to ask either by posting in the forum or sending a PM to a member of the admin team.

Chris

Thanks chaps.

All working fine now, and images uploading as per.

I am meticulous about what I upload, and what I do not. I always check other images of that aircraft first, and totally avoid uploading images simply to make my number upload good....

People do dump the whole lot here, and I must admit I have raised an eyebrow at some.

Anyway, end of rant!

Cheers all.
