  • Aircraft N732LJ Cessna 210 Centurion

I bought this aircraft new, picking it up at the Cessna factory in Wichita, KS and flew it back to Hanscom Field in Bedford, MA (Boston). I had a hangar at Hanscom and a tie-down at Barnstable Municipal Airport on Cape Cod. After the Wichita-Boston flight, the longest flight that I made in N732LJ was Boston-West Palm Beach. I moved to the UK in 1984 and sold the aircraft to a friend in 1983. Looks as if it was unregistered in 1990.

Thanks. Looks like it is in the process of getting a new engine. Do you know if it is still operational? Did you track it by the SN?

Airframe looks good, so it may be just engine maintenance when the photo was taken (2009)

Yes, tracking or searching with cn or msn,

or variations of serial, '21061594' or '210-61594' or '61594 AND Cessna' often helps.

Looks as if ZS-MTR (Racer #99) is back in the air, check out the Air Race results on this page:

President's Trophy Air Race (PTAR) 2013

John

I found the SA race last night and sent an email to the website asking them to forward to the pilot (assume owner).

You're right, the airframe and paint look first class in the 2009 photo.

Thanks for the info.

The current owner has had her for the past 12-15 years. Here is what they told me:

She is still flying and we enjoy every minute we spend in her…

I had a prop strike with her about 9 years back… the nose wheel collapsed and she hit the ground…

They removed the engine and re-did the everything and she got a brand new prop…

Then about 5 years back my dad struck a lamb on take off on our farm and on landing in Kimberley the nose wheels gave way again

And as the pervious time they striped her of her engine and she was repaired back to health…

I took her out to Namibia two weeks ago and she behaved like the perfect princess that she is.
