Sikorsky S-43

Does anyone know the history of this plane and what actually happened to this? Thanks in advance to anyone that can share information. :)

NC 15067, Sikorsky S-43, notes: C/n 4307, delivered to Pan Am in March 1936. Pan Am assigned this Baby Clipper to Panair do Brasil, registered PP-PAR. Conflicting sources indicate that this aircraft either crashed or was otherwise destroyed. The fate of this Sikorsky S-43 is not known.

photo# 2 caption. Look, Dad, no wheels! Several S-43s were delivered as flying boats rather than amphibians, and others later became boats.

This is Pan American's NC15067. the seventh S-43 built.

It had the standard bow, single tail and straight wingtips. Atter Pan Am transferred it to its Brazilian subsidiary, it had an engine fire and sank in 1937.
