DC 7 This is one of the first Airliners Before Jets took the skys over. I Just Love the History of Flight. The DC 4,DC 5, DC 6 and the DC 7 All these first Airliners were the Passenger Planes of the 1940's thru the 1960's. Jets then took over and the rest as we say is history. One big difference. All these DC Modles Four Engine Planes Did not have a High enough cealing to get above storms. They flew in them or at the top of them either way it was a bumpy ride. Alot of these planes crashed. The Jets could blow right threw a storm and fly over out and way above any storms. Much safer.

Look at the difference Betweenthe DC 7 as opposed to the Antonov 225. The Then and the Now. You can take the DC 7 apart and Haul the whole thing in the Antonov 225. Now I ask you Who is you Daddy Now?

Thank you for your help. I Just love all the old DC 4,5,6,7 Models All thses first People Haulers of the 1940's and 1950's The Foue engine Gasoline Power the Radial Disgin there is Noting like that sound Rumbling thru the Air. It has the most distinct sound when it flys over you it gives me goose bumps.

Thanks for all the advise and help on this Plane. I love history of Avation and these 4 Engine Pistion driven Planes were the first Generation of Planes to carry massave amounts of People.
