Alaska Airports Database

To whom it may concern:

We are a group of students at Iowa State University conducting research on aircraft optimization. We were wondering if it would be possible to get access to the background database for all Alaska Airports. In particular, we are interested in the runway distance, land/water, and elevation.

That information is available for all states of the United States airports and seaports from AOPA. Their AOPA AIRPORTS 2013-2014 print edition contains all airport information. See www.aopa.org/airports

Other sources offer this information also. Many state Aeronautics Commissions or Department of Airports publish in-state airport/seaport information. Alaska Airports/Seaports database is on this site, by entering each airport designator on the Home Page here. Commercial Airport guides are also available. There are sixteen Alaska Sectional Charts with airport/seaport information, including runways, elevations, etc.
