Photo Date Bug?

I have been uploading some old photos and the date I enter is not being transferred to the photo. It seems to be taking the scan date from the photo data and using that. Looking back, I think it started sometime yesterday afternoon.

It happened to me here...this one should read 1961-00-00

The program works like this:

If it can retrieve date from photo's EXIF data, use it

If not, use "shot date" provided by uploader/photographer

If none of above succeeded, leave date blank.

In your case, your scanner software put scan date into image's EXIF data. For Mr. Harrison, his software didn't or can't do that.

Thanks for the response. My problem here is that I put in the correct date and on a few of these pictures it changes the entered date to the EXIF data date.

Just yesterday I noticed that some take the entered date and some don't.

Example

This one took the EXIF

This one took the entered date.

I have gone back in and reentered the date and regenerated the copyright tag. It has worked for a few. This is the first time I have seen this happen.
