I was at the Langley, B.C. airport ( CYNJ ) yesterday taking pictures as I often do and this beauty was getting ready to leave. I usually take at least one or two shots as they are leaving and do my best to capture them in the air at some point later on. I waited for it to come around and was a bit disappointed when it didn't by the time I had to leave.

While watching the news this morning I caught the story about this beauty not making it back to the airport. Both the pilot and his passenger ( father ) walked away.

Here's a link to CBC and the story as they tell it.

I did not hear any engine trouble nor did I witness the accident thank goodness. To that end I'm just assuming he must have landed, picked up his father and departed again as I do not see a passenger in the shots I took.

The markings on the aircraft is CF-CCO however Transport Canada lists it as C-FCCO.

The paint job was immaculate. She was one sweet airplane.

These are the shots I took.....

Wow. That was a nice looking livery. Your photos are great.

Sad that the aircraft is gone... but great news that no one was hurt!
