Was surprised to see an old airplane that I have many a hour in when I was flying for American Dusting company in the late 70s and early 80s. I sprayed a lot of ranch land in 5102N. I do have some super 8 film of me flying it in the Texas panhandle. I did not know the ole girl was a celebrity.
All that is left of the original 5102n That Pres. Bush flew is the fuselage. The wings were National highlifts when I was flying it, and it had BT13 wheels and brakes, tail feather were replaced in 79 for ones with new cover. It had different panel, and an R985. The airplane was bought right after the war by American dusting company, and flew as a 220 duster for awhile then was converted by the company, in the late 50s. Allen (Butch) Howell
