C-FAWK

This only to let know what was the previous airplane carrying the registration C-FAWK.

It was a Zenith 250, desing by Christ Heinz and built by Yves McNeil from Montréal. The aircraft had its maiden flight in September 1989 after 4ooo hours of labour to bring it to her first flight. As the builder, I personally flew this Zenith for about 250 hours before selling it.

The next owner, flew it for hundreds of hours across America and sold it after 3 years. He told me that he never had so much fun flying an aircraft but he had to get rid of it because he needed an amphibian for his personal needs.

The third owner had it since only a few weeks when he crashed it and killed himself one night during a flight right after a long dinner with lots of wine. Very, very sad. When I heard about the crash on the news bulletin the next morning, my hearth stopped for a while. 4000 hours of hard labour and after taking care of this aircraft as if it was a child really affected me.

This is the short story of the previous and second C-FAWK. I could write a whole book about it and all the fun I had flying it.

I heard that the first aircraft carrying the registration C-FAWK was a biplane that crashed somewhere in the North in 1931.

Yves, a wonderful history story yet sad outcome. If you have a photo or photos of your build of C-FAWK, it would be nice to see them uploaded on this site with short explanation captions and dates of the photos. There are other examples of earlier registration photos of aircraft that are uploaded here, and vintage photos much appreciated. That would provide a photo history of your aircraft.
