I was a passenger in this aircraft when it was involved in a very scary pilot error accident on Ocean Cay in the Bahamas on 2/29/80. I have pictures if anyone is interested. I am surprised to see this aircraft was placed back in service, considering the damage and stress to the airframe.

What happened?

It must have been severe if the airframe was damaged.

I tried to look up at http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/query.asp#query_start

But the database only goes back to Jan/01/2003.

Nothing on Google... found a picture of the control unit... that was all.
