  • Article "Likes" Counts and Article Approvals

My question is "Why has the "likes" counts for the Article sections been removed?" It was one measure of reader popularity of the articles and also was appreciated by at least one author, namely me. Researching exact information for an article and getting associated photographs in many instances was work and time that should be acknowledged/appreciated by the readers, and now this article "Likes" count measure has disappeared some time ago.

Also, many articles have not been approved by the site as yet, yet were uploaded years ago. Why?

Finally, is there any reader/viewer agreement that illustrated aviation articles enhance this wonderful aviation website? Just wondering. (Corrected text 18 Feb.2020).

I don't remember articles ever having view counts. Posts to the forums have had view counts. When I take a look past snapshots of the website made by www.archive.org I don't see view counts. Here's a snapshot from 2 years ago.

Timothy,

I apologize for substituting the wrong word "views" for the correct "likes" that now makes sense of my explanation.

There were 11 "likes" of your photo of the twin engine Champion LANCER in the article that I wrote about that aircraft and you gave me prior permission years ago to use the photo that was unique on this site at the time. Now, the "likes" count has disappeared at a recent viewing. Many of my articles had "likes" counts but your sole at the time LANCER photo with the article stood out. I could cite other article examples also-that had likes counts, now all disappeared.

Also, the Site Founder could corroborate this. I had some correspondence with him about the articles when he introduced them.
