Thanks all for reporting spams. Shame on those guys who don't respect our site and members.

Some of our forum mods seems inactive. I guess it's time to change a few of them. Bluedharma, thanks a lot for helping. You can choose one forum or two to moderate.

Having been very busy in past 2 weeks. Sorry about the delay.

Ken

Ken, I will send you a private message with my contact information.

I would be happy to "erase" any clear "spam" attempts.

I don't know how good a Moderator I would be. Doug Robertson and Ztex, Timothy Aanerud,Glenn Chatfield and others have more knowledge regarding content than I will ever have. I would't be able to resolve disputes...

But I could get rid of any “spam” junk as it happens.

Best Regards,

Dang...got hit again!

rats

Hi Zane,

I just deleted what I could. Last night I sent a message to Ken (Admin airport-data).

Hopefully we can get rid of this spam.

This guy is hitting us each day.

I will delete what I can.

It is not going to do any good until the IP is banned and then there is a verification system set up for the forum...it's a stupid game to these idiots.

It is not going to do any good until the IP is banned ...

The server that hosts airport-data.com is a RedHat Linux system, so banning IP's could be done by editing the system iptables.

Hi All,

Sorry I didn't check the site earlier. I have deleted all spam messages.

As of blocking IPs, thanks for the suggestion. But, most likely the spammer is using ADSL, which give him a different IP every time he/she logs in. Some service providers around world even force IP changing. So it won't help.

Ken
