If I had a dollar for every photo Daniel had... :)

Great job!

Congratulations Daniel! Great job!

Ken

It amazes me that there are 110,000 photos with the top ten folks!

Wow!

How many photos are on the total site?

As of now, about 310K aircraft photos and 11K airport ones.

Ken

Zane, As an ongoing count of the site's total aircraft and total airport photos-look at your last photo uploaded in the Member Section right after you have uploaded it. The photo file name will be the cumulative total photo (type) count of the site up to that photo, whether it be an aircraft or an airport photo. I figured that out early in the site's age. In other words, the cumulative photo count as of time of uploading of any photo type is also the photo file name.

Thanks Doug!

320064 was my last photo this morning.

Amazing

I just posted #320,783 I'm new here (not yet 200 pics) but I'll do my best to catch up!

Thanks guys,

I didn't realize there was a thread started about my #20K

Usually I try to get an unusual aircraft or something for when I hit a big number - ie for my 10,000th photo I had the A380 when it came to MCO, I think for 15,000 I had an Antonov 124 or something.

I didn't have any unusual plane for #20,000, even with Sun N Fun there wasn't anything that exotic. So I did something different for #20K - a dedication photo - its a ramp shot with a TAM A330 and Virgin 747 at MCO, with a female coworker, and good friend of mine posing.

I made this a dedication to the REAL employees of Orlando International Airport as we survived the GOAA layoffs.

They actually did the right thing by going around and cutting the overpaid management that a lot no one knew what they did, but they were making over $100,000 - many connected with a corrupt director that was let go - cutting one of the heads off of the "three headed monster" at GOAA. This director is one of the ones most responsible for the SS like policies of aviation photography - maybe things will change now

I had been quiet with my posting too as of late - a lot of photos just sitting waiting to be edited but hadnt had the time - although I am trying to get my Sun N Fun up now and get the other stuff up later.

Thanks again guys.

How long before the site reaches 1,000,000 photos you think?

I remember airliners.net making a big deal when they reached 1,000,000 total photos.

7 days later

Congratulations. I will never get anywhere near that. I've just reached 100 photos uploaded, and although I only joined two months ago, I have been taking digital photos for four years, and film transparencies for many more years. I know how long it took to prepare them and upload them, much to my wife's annoyance. At least I've made it into the top 200 - for now.

Regards,

Peter.

Daniel,

Could you tell us the image number of the photos you are talking about so we can see them. I remember seeing #20000 awhile back but can't find it now.

Thanks,

Connor
