C-GIHV

I am trying to find the owner of this aircraft. It is parked at Calgary International and has been there so long that weeds are growing around it, something that makes me sick when I see such aircraft becoming derelicts.

If not selling maybe I can offer to maintain this aircraft.

If anyone knows owner have them contact me through this forum.

Thanks

The last registered owner was Barrie I Stafford & Associates, 4628 Montgomery Boulevard NW, Calgary T3B OK7. This was in 2006 so maybe they put it out to grass.

Thank you so much. I had a talk with a pilot that was refueling his Cessna and he stated that one day, possibly the owner, came out, started the engine, ran her up to full power, shut her down and he has not seen him since.

I looked inside the aircraft and saw that it was damaged; missing panels, seats ripped, etc.

I lived in Dallas Texas for nearly 6-years and watched a Mooney M-21 slowly decay to the point it was hauled away as scrap metal. I was sick.

I doubt there is anything I can do about this 114, but at least I can inquire.

Again thanks,

Tony

It seems like there are many airplanes in the same predicament. There were several at our local field...They have all been taken care of just recently...all but one Cessna 310. It was scrapped.

Sad deal for sure.

Do you have a picture of the 114? You should post one before the airplane disappears.

I can get one later today, Tuesday and post it.

Great!

And ... Welcome to Airport-Data!

I have the picture on my iPhone, how do I publish it here?

Transfer your pictures to iphone (you need to install iTunes to do that), then upload them in member section.

Hi:

I've posted several pictures I thought would be of interest to members, including the Rockwell 114.

Thanks for posting those pictures.

Interesting sky colors for sure.

Just one tip. For unknown aircraft registrations just enter them under the "Unknown Various Various C/N Various" listing.

There are many other Unknown listings and it gets a bit out of hand... and your ???? entries are unsearchable.

Understood and sorry, but for instance the L-1011 is, I'm willing to bet a military aircraft. As for the other aircraft it was very early morning.

No Problem!

The L-1011 is most likely a military aircraft. There are very few civil operators left and most, if not all, of those are in Africa and Asia. The RAF still operates the Tristar and they are seen in the US and Canada occasionally.
