Hello Tomas
Identifying an aeroplane from a section with no markings can be very difficult but I enjoy a challenge. It looks like a Cherokee 140. There is not much to go on other than the letters SLEMO on the side. I googled this and somehow got to the Slemon Park Flying Club. They were in Newfoundland. Not a lot of information about them so I went on the Canadian Aircraft Register historical section which has a facility to trace aircraft by owner. Stuck Slemon Park Flying Club in and out came a list of aircraft that had been registered to them. There are only two Cherokee 140s, C-GDVT and C-FXQM. DVT is I believe stiill current but C-FXQM (cn 28 24787)was cancelled 2/12/1987. This is possibly the aeroplane in the picture. Perhaps someone else could confirm or otherwise.

Hi Bob,
thank you so mich for your help! I had written to people at Digby airport before but didn't get any reply. So this was my last chance and to be honest, I didn't expect too much. A good example for EU cooperation. You solved the Canadian problem in the UK and I am going to use this information in Germany when uploading the picture soon.
Tomas
Now the mystery is how it got to Digby.
Summerside, Prince Edward Island is not that far from Digby, Nova Scotia. ICAO Code: CYID. Are you getting confused with the former RAF Digby in Lincolnshire?
Sorry didn't know there is a Digby in Canada.
