  • Should I continue my project

Hello:

I had dreamt about building an airplane of my own, spending off duty time, and up all hours designing my aircraft. After 30-years I finally started said project, and then I hit a speed bump.

I have been watching the direction of private and experimental aviation and it seems to be heading away from the old, I understnad why, to the hi-tech expensive and exoctic toys, that, well I will never be able to afford.

I'm 69, and expect it will take another 2 - 3 years to finish my project.

My aircraft is of wood, the old, take your time project. Thus is my question. should I just chuck everything or ignore the crowd and do my thing,?

Any commnets?

I guess I'm looking for assurance I'm not wasting my time.

To hell with what other people are doing, carry on living your dream.

Real aeroplanes are made of wood anyway. Look forward to seeing a picture in a couple of years.

Good luck with it.

Rob

I too am building an airplane. A Zenith CH-750 STOL mostly plans only. Celebrate success one part at a time.
